Fundraising Events for Play it Forward Raleigh

Play it Forward Raleigh, a community organization dedicated to ensuring equal access to their programs, is hosting a series of fundraising events to support their financial assistance fund. These events aim to bring the community together for a day of fun, laughter, and community bonding.

One of the upcoming events is the "Throw it Forward Disc Golf Tournament," which will take place at Forest Ridge Park on Friday, March 8, from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. This tournament promises a day filled with exciting disc golf games and friendly competition.

Another event to look forward to is the "Quadball Extravaganza!" at Halifax Community Center on Saturday, April 6, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. This event will feature various quadball games, providing an opportunity for participants to showcase their skills and have a great time.

For pet lovers, there is the "Pawsitively Imperfect Pet Portraits and Pup-Up Pet Market." Participants can register and submit a photo for artwork until Friday, April 5. This event celebrates the unique beauty of pets and offers a chance to support a good cause.

On Saturday, May 4, the Tarboro Road Community Center will host the "May the 4th Galactic Glow in the Dark Dodgeball Tournament" from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dodgeball enthusiasts can enjoy an out-of-this-world experience as they compete in a glow-in-the-dark tournament.

In July, Play it Forward Raleigh will organize "Camp Carefree" at various locations from July 1 to 3, between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. This three-day camp offers children the opportunity to engage in various activities and make lasting memories.

To end the summer on a high note, the "Holly Jolly Raleigh Winter Prom" will be held at the Five Points Active Adult Center on Saturday, July 27, from 8 to 11 p.m. This winter-themed prom promises an evening of dancing, music, and festive cheer.

All the proceeds from these events will go towards Play it Forward Raleigh's financial assistance fund, which ensures that everyone can participate in their programs regardless of their financial situation.
