Lake Johnson Park will be hosting a poetry reading event on April 21, 2024, to celebrate the talents of local poets. The event aims to showcase the artistic abilities of ten poets selected for their unique ability to capture the essence of the Lake Johnson community and the natural beauty of the park.

The poets will have the opportunity to share their work with the public, as highlighted by the event organizers who stated, "Join us in celebrating the poets of Lake Johnson Park!" Attendees can expect to immerse themselves in the creative expressions of these individuals, providing a platform for the community to appreciate their contributions.

According to the organizers, the selected poets were chosen based on their exceptional talent and their ability to encapsulate the spirit of Lake Johnson. The event will offer attendees the chance to connect with the poets on a personal level as they listen to each writer present their poems live, as expressed by the organizers, "Enjoy listening to each writer read their poems out loud."

Moreover, the poetry reading will be followed by a social gathering where attendees can engage with the poets and each other over light refreshments. The organizers have emphasized the importance of advance registration for those interested in participating, stating, "Advance registration is required."

The event is scheduled to take place from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Lake Johnson, providing a serene setting for the celebration of local artistic talent and community spirit.
