The City's Department of Equity and Inclusion is hosting a community conversation in celebration of Women's History Month on March 27. The event, titled "Take Back Control of Our Narrative," will take place from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at The Optimist Raleigh coffee shop.

According to The City's Department of Equity and Inclusion, the event aims to explore the intersecting dynamics of race and gender while challenging and deconstructing stereotypes about women. They state, "We will explore the intersecting dynamics of race and gender while also challenging and deconstructing stereotypes about women."

The discussion is designed to provide women with a platform to share their lived experiences as part of an effort to redefine the collective narrative. The Department of Equity and Inclusion expressed, "This discussion is designed to provide women with the opportunity to share their lived experiences as we work to redefine our collective narrative."

Seats for this event are limited, and attendees are encouraged to RSVP in advance to secure their spot. The community conversation promises to be an empowering and enlightening opportunity for individuals to engage in meaningful dialogue surrounding women's history and empowerment.
