The 2026 Toyota Corolla Hatchback will arrive at dealerships this fall with several new standard features and a new FX Edition. The model now includes a Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert and a wireless charger as standard equipment across all grades. The starting Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price for the SE grade is $24,180, not including dealer processing and handling.

Toyota has equipped the 2026 Corolla Hatchback with a 2.0-liter Dynamic-Force four-cylinder engine producing 169 horsepower and 151 lb.-ft. of torque. The SE grade achieves an EPA-estimated fuel efficiency rating of up to 32 miles per gallon in the city, 41 on the highway, and 35 combined.

The car is built on Toyota’s TNGA-C platform, which provides a solid structure and low center of gravity. It features MacPherson strut front suspension and available multi-link rear suspension for improved handling and ride comfort. All trims come standard with paddle shifters that allow drivers to engage ten pre-set ratios for a sportier driving experience.

The FX Edition, based on the SE grade, adds unique styling elements such as an 18-inch gloss white-finished alloy wheel set, black vented sport wing, heritage-inspired rear badge, and black Sport Touring Seats with orange stitching. Only 1,600 units of the FX Edition will be assembled for the U.S. market in 2026.

Inside, all grades include Toyota Audio Multimedia with an eight-inch touchscreen supporting wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. Dual Bluetooth phone connectivity is included, along with a Wi-Fi Connect trial offering hotspot capability for up to five devices through AT&T’s network.

Safety features are prominent in the new model year. In addition to the Blind Spot Monitor and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert now being standard across all trims, every Corolla Hatchback comes equipped with Toyota Safety Sense 3.0. This suite includes Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection, Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist, Lane Tracing Assist, Road Sign Assist, Automatic High Beams, and Proactive Driving Assist.

Warranty coverage consists of a basic new-vehicle warranty lasting three years or 36,000 miles (whichever comes first), plus additional powertrain and corrosion warranties. Every Corolla Hatchback also comes standard with ToyotaCare—a maintenance plan covering factory-scheduled service for two years or 25,000 miles—and two years of roadside assistance without mileage limits.

Toyota employs nearly 48,000 people in the United States who contribute to design, engineering, and assembly at its eleven manufacturing plants nationwide. In North Carolina specifically, Toyota began assembling automotive batteries for electrified vehicles in 2025 (https://pressroom.toyota.com/toyota-north-carolina-battery-plant-expansion-to-add-jobs-and-increase-production/).
