A book fair highlighting African American literature will take place at the John P. “Top” Greene African American Cultural Center on Saturday, November 15, from 2 to 6 p.m. The event is open to all ages and there is no cost or registration required.

The fair will feature a range of books for children as well as historical and inspirational works from the African Diaspora, with materials available for purchase. Book vendors and authors from across the state are expected to participate.

Mrs. Sherricka Carpenter Stanley, author of “Give Me Some Chin!” and owner of Next Chapter Bookstore & Gift Shop, will be a special guest at the event. Attendees will have an opportunity to meet her and support her business.

“Don’t miss this opportunity to connect, learn, and celebrate Black voices in literature!”

The event aims to provide a space for community members to engage with Black authors and explore diverse literary offerings.
