Amazon has announced the launch of its Prime Big Deal Days, scheduled for October 7–8, marking the start of the holiday shopping season. The event will provide Prime members with exclusive access to millions of deals across a range of categories and brands, including LEGO, KitchenAid, and Bose.

During the two-day sale, members can expect discounts such as up to 50% off select Amazon devices, 40% off kitchen appliances, and up to 65% off bestselling print books. The company is also introducing new AI-powered shopping tools like Rufus, Alexa+ deal tracking, and Amazon Lens to help customers find and compare deals more efficiently.

The event features limited-time offers called Today’s Big Deals from brands like Away, ELEMIS, and LG. These deals will be released at specific times throughout each day while supplies last.

To access these offers, customers must be Prime members. Membership includes benefits such as fast free delivery and streaming entertainment. New users can sign up for a 30-day free trial.

In addition to product discounts on electronics from Anker and Sony; fashion from Levi’s and GAP; beauty products from tarte and Estée Lauder; home goods from Shark and Samsonite; toys from Fisher-Price and LEGO; grocery items; personal care products; sports equipment; books; video rentals; music subscriptions; health services through One Medical; dining benefits via Grubhub+; early access for young adults aged 18-24 through a dedicated program with extra cashback incentives on certain purchases—Prime Big Deal Days also highlights support for small businesses that sell through Amazon’s platform.

“More than 60% of sales in Amazon’s store come from independent sellers—most of which are small- and medium-sized businesses—providing a vast selection of products, competitive prices, and great convenience for customers,” according to Amazon.

Amazon continues to invest in technology aimed at improving the customer experience during major sales events by offering AI-powered shopping assistants like Rufus for personalized recommendations and price alerts. Enhanced deal-tracking via Alexa+ sends notifications when watched items go on sale. The visual search tool Amazon Lens allows shoppers to find similar products using photos taken with their devices.

Prime members can also take advantage of additional savings opportunities: those approved for Prime Visa or Prime Store Card between October 2–8 receive an instant gift card ($150 or $100 respectively), along with higher cashback rates on select purchases during the event. Members using No-Rush Delivery may earn further rewards on eligible orders.

For grocery shoppers in eligible locations, adding a fresh grocery item to Same-Day Delivery orders comes with one free item promotion automatically applied at checkout. In-store savings are available at Amazon Fresh locations as well.

Prime Video subscribers will have access to discounted rental or purchase options on selected titles during the event period. For music fans who have not tried it before, four months of Amazon Music Unlimited are offered free for a limited time.

Health-related perks include $30 off One Medical membership fees for Prime members’ first year along with discounts on virtual care visits where applicable.

The event aims not only to deliver significant discounts but also promote features designed to streamline online shopping using artificial intelligence technologies integrated into the Amazon Shopping app.
