Julia Roberts stars in the upcoming film “After the Hunt,” directed by Luca Guadagnino and written by Nora Garrett. The movie is produced by Amazon MGM Studios and features a cast that includes Ayo Edebiri, Andrew Garfield, Michael Stuhlbarg, and ChloĆ« Sevigny.

“After the Hunt” is described as a psychological thriller focusing on a college professor, played by Roberts, who becomes entangled in a complex situation after one of her students (Edebiri) accuses a colleague (Garfield). As she deals with the accusation, secrets from her own past begin to surface.

The film will premiere in New York and Los Angeles on Friday, October 10. It will be released nationwide on Friday, October 17. Prime members are offered an opportunity for early access; they can purchase tickets for a special screening on Wednesday, October 15.

Luca Guadagnino directs the project following his previous work on films such as “Call Me by Your Name,” “Suspiria,” and “Challengers.”
