On September 30, 2025, Knott criticized certain criminal justice approaches in a tweet: “Leftist soft-on-crime policies endanger all of us.”

Later that day, Knott commented on ongoing budget discussions between the House and Senate: “Who wants to tell her the House already passed a clean, bipartisan CR to avert a shutdown…Senate Democrats stand in the way.” The tweet referred to continuing resolution (CR) efforts intended to prevent a government shutdown.

In another post that evening, Knott shared news about an audit concerning transit safety: ” BREAKING: N.C. Auditor releases a *preliminary* report detailing Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) security failures in response to the murder of Iryna Zarutska. Since 2018, the report details how CATS:
