In a tweet from earlier in the day, Congressman Knott extended his well-wishes for Independence Day. He wrote “Happy Independence Day to all of #NC13 and the United States. Today, we celebrate the great experiment of self-governance and pay tribute to those who fought for and earned our freedom.” He concluded with blessings for America, its people, and its ideals.

Later that evening, Knott expressed his honor at participating in a legislative event with President Biden. In his words “What an honor to join @POTUS at today’s signing of the One Big Beautiful Bill.” He highlighted the bill’s focus on securing energy supplies, defending borders, boosting domestic production and manufacturing, as well as job creation.

Following this announcement, he confirmed the passage of the legislation by tweeting “PASSED The One Big Beautiful Bill is a historic achievement delivering for the American people.” This bill aims to provide tax relief across various sectors while ensuring border security and energy independence.
