Congressman Brad Knott, who won the 2024 general election against Frank Pierce with 58.6% of the vote, recently posted a series of statements on his Twitter account addressing U.S. foreign policy and domestic political figures.

On August 18, 2025, Knott praised former President Trump’s approach to international relations, particularly regarding Russia and Ukraine. He stated, “President Trump has consistently pursued peace. From a position of strength, he has placed immense pressure on Russia and has positioned us well to hopefully secure durable peace in Ukraine.”

Later that day, Knott commented on California’s political leadership and federal intervention in state affairs. He wrote on August 18, “It’s pretty clear, the only thing @CAgovernor enjoys more than a TV camera is political power. I commend @POTUS for protecting Americans in California even if their governor will not.”

In another post on August 18, Knott criticized Brown’s lengthy tenure in office and recent actions: “Typical. Brown spent 50(!) years in office constructing the problems we are fighting to fix. Now, he’s complaining about the last 6 months and running again.”

Brad Knott was elected to Congress after defeating Frank Pierce by a margin of over seventeen percentage points in the 2024 general election.
