Congressman Brad Knott has recently used his social media platform to comment on crime and immigration issues, including criticism of the D.C. police chief and calls for legislative action on illegal immigration.

On August 13, 2025, Knott questioned the leadership of Washington D.C.’s police chief by posting, “When listening to the proficiencies of the D.C. police chief, it’s a real head scratcher as to how or why crime is out of control in her city.”

Later that day, he addressed legislative efforts related to immigration: “My two bills to combat illegal immigrant crime continue to gain momentum. We must pass them when Congress returns next month to help @POTUS permanently reverse the open borders crisis to protect Americans first and foremost.”

On August 15, 2025, Knott posed a question directed at the North Carolina Democratic Party: “To the @NCDemParty, how much illegal immigration is permissible?”

Brad Knott was elected in 2024 after defeating Frank Pierce in the general election with 58.6% of the vote.
