Congressman Brad Knott, who won the 2024 general election against Frank Pierce with 58.6% of the vote, used his social media platform on October 1, 2025, to criticize Democratic policies regarding undocumented immigrants and government benefits.

In a post made at 19:32 UTC, Knott stated, “It’s already against the law for illegals to get Medicaid!”

It was also against the law for this man to receive:

A social security card
Voter registration
A $300,000 taxpayer-funded salary

Democrats can’t resist any opportunity to fight for illegals over citizens.”

Later that evening at 19:58 UTC, Knott continued his criticism by posting, “Democrats: “Illegals can’t get Medicaid.”

Also Democrats: “Attention Illegals! Here’s how to get free Medicaid!”

In another post at 21:10 UTC directed at a user named @abreezeclayton, Knott wrote, “Hey @abreezeclayton, would you talk like that to Congressman Harrigan if he was an illegal alien rather than a Christian, veteran, husband, father, business-owning patriot?”

Knott’s comments come amid ongoing debates in Congress about access to public benefits for undocumented immigrants. Federal law prohibits non-citizens without lawful status from receiving most federal public benefits such as Medicaid and Social Security. Despite these restrictions, some critics allege that loopholes or administrative oversights occasionally allow unauthorized individuals access to certain programs.

Brad Knott’s victory in the 2024 election secured him a seat in Congress after defeating Frank Pierce by a margin of more than seventeen percentage points.
