Congressman Brad Knott, who was elected in 2024 after defeating Frank Pierce, used his social media platform to criticize House and Senate Democrats regarding the ongoing government shutdown.

On October 15, 2025, Knott posted: “Well, I am in D.C., but you forgot to complete your sentence: ‘We are on day 15 of the shutdown that I, along with my @HouseDemocrats and @SenateDems colleagues, voted for.'”

The following day, Knott continued his criticism with another post: “It is pretty obvious Democrats shut down the government to appease the AOC wing of their party. It’s a shameful political performance that is forcing Americans to pay a heavy price.” He also posted later that day: “True or False: Every person pictured voted to shut down the government.”

Brad Knott represents his district in Congress after winning the 2024 general election with 58.6% of the vote against Frank Pierce.
