Congressman Brad Knott, who was elected in 2024 after defeating Frank Pierce, has recently posted a series of statements on social media addressing topics from aviation history to immigration and student visa policy.

On August 19, 2025, Knott highlighted North Carolina’s historic role in aviation, referencing the Wright brothers’ first airplane flight: “On December 17, 1903, the Wright brothers completed the first ever airplane flight, making NC forever known to be ‘First in Flight!’

Later that day, Knott addressed student visa policies. He wrote on August 19, 2025: “Student visas are a privilege, not a right. If any guest student commits crime, harms Americans, or supports terrorism – they should not be here. I commend @SecRubio for prioritizing visas for students who enhance America and the revocation of visas for students who harm America.”

On August 20, 2025, Knott commented on border security measures: “Thanks to the One Big Beautiful Bill, the southern border wall is getting an upgrade to further deter illegal immigration! Securing our Border is essential and I’m proud to help @POTUS do this.
