Congressman Brad Knott, who won the 2024 general election against Frank Pierce with 58.6% of the vote, used his social media platform on August 20, 2025 to discuss crime and immigration policy.
In a post published at 15:35 UTC, Knott criticized the District of Columbia’s justice system and expressed support for President Biden’s efforts to improve public safety. He stated, “D.C.’s woke justice system has failed to hold criminals accountable. @POTUS is fixing this by restoring law and order to protect the citizens and visitors of our nation’s capital. RSC Chair @RepPfluger and I shared our thoughts with @thehill here: https://t.co/Ty3EvtrN33”.
Later that day at 20:11 UTC, Knott referenced new legislation aimed at criminal activity by undocumented immigrants. He wrote, “My bill, the Stop Illegal Entry Act, specifically targets illegal aliens who are committed criminals.”
In a separate tweet posted at the same time, Knott described an ongoing police search in North Carolina involving a previously deported individual. The congressman stated, ” MANHUNT An illegal alien previously CONVICTED of sexual battery against a child illegally RETURNED to the US after deportation and has evaded police in NC. This happened unnecessarily because of years of pro-illegal immigration policies. I have a plan to fix it. “
Brad Knott was elected in November 2024 after defeating Frank Pierce with 243 votes (58.6%) compared to Pierce’s 171 votes (41.4%). As a member of Congress and legislative sponsor, Knott has focused on issues related to law enforcement and immigration policy.
