The National Hockey League announced on May 3 the Carolina Hurricanes’ schedule for the remainder of the second round of the 2026 Stanley Cup Playoffs. The Hurricanes will play against the Philadelphia Flyers in the Eastern Conference Semifinals, with Game 1 set to take place at Lenovo Center.

This series is significant as it marks the first postseason meeting between these two teams. The Hurricanes secured the top seed in their conference after finishing with a record of 53-22-7, totaling 113 points. The Flyers entered as a wild card team, posting a record of 43-27-12 and earning 98 points. Carolina advanced by defeating Ottawa in the first round and became only the third team in National Hockey League history to win a playoff series in eight consecutive postseasons, following Montreal’s ten-series streaks from both 1984–93 and 1951–60, and Philadelphia’s nine from 1973–81.

The Lenovo Center serves as home for all Hurricanes playoff games. According to the official website, this venue offers over 700,000 square feet of space, multiple seating levels, suites, concession stands, and can accommodate up to 20,000 people while hosting more than 150 events each year. In addition to sports events like hockey playoffs, the arena contributes over $200 million annually to Raleigh’s local economy through various activities and community engagement.

The franchise has recognized players such as Eric Staal and Rod Brind’Amour for their impact on team history by inducting them into its Hall of Fame according to its official website. The organization also achieved a major milestone when it won its first Stanley Cup championship in 2006 as reported by its official site.

Tickets for upcoming games at Lenovo Center are currently available.
