The City of Raleigh will host “Chavis Celebrates: The Main Event” to mark the 87th anniversary of John Chavis Memorial Park. The event is open to all ages and will take place on Saturday, September 20, from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the park.
Attendees can expect a range of activities including inflatables, carousel rides, live entertainment, and food trucks. Admission is free and no registration is required.
Organizers encourage visitors to bring lawn chairs as they reflect on the park’s history and look forward to its future.
