Lori Tanner, an engineering specialist in the City of Raleigh’s Stormwater division, is featured in the latest episode of the city’s “This is What I Do” video series. The series aims to highlight employees who work behind the scenes to support local services.

Tanner manages customer accounts and billing for stormwater services. For many homeowners in Raleigh, this means she helps ensure that stormwater fees on utility bills are accurate. Her responsibilities include visiting homesites to take measurements and conducting research to resolve billing issues.

Tanner describes her approach as attentive and thorough. “It’s very important for me that when someone reaches out to us…that they feel like they’re being heard and that they are receiving the answer that they need,” said Tanner.

The city encourages residents to watch the video to learn more about Tanner’s role and how she assists customers with their stormwater billing questions.
