Today, Congressman Brad Knott of North Carolina’s 13th district cast his vote in favor of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act. The legislation now awaits President Donald Trump’s signature to become law.

Knott expressed his support for the bill, highlighting its impact on various national issues. “From my first day in Congress, I proudly worked with my colleagues in the House to get the One Big Beautiful Bill passed,” he stated. He credited President Trump and Republican members of both houses for their efforts in preventing tax increases and achieving significant outcomes for the nation.

The bill addresses several key areas including national defense, homeland security, and border enforcement. It aims to halt illegal immigration and deport criminal illegal aliens. For American workers, particularly those in North Carolina, Knott emphasized changes to the tax code that eliminate taxes on tips, social security, and overtime pay while allowing full expensing of factory and equipment reinvestment.

Additionally, Knott noted that the legislation removes illegal aliens and able-bodied young individuals from programs intended for vulnerable citizens. He also mentioned a reduction of $1.5 trillion in future spending as a result of this bill.

Knott concluded by commending President Trump for his leadership role in advancing the legislation. “Because of this bill, our country will be more secure and prosperous,” he remarked.
