Raleigh, NC – In honor of Earth Day, the City of Raleigh will be hosting a series of screenings of the award-winning documentary “A Plastic Ocean.” The film, created by a diverse group of professionals, sheds light on the devastating impact of plastic pollution on our oceans while also presenting solutions for a cleaner future.
The screenings will take place at various locations from April 20 to April 27, aligning with the Global Earth Day theme “Planet vs. Plastic.” One notable aspect of the film is its honesty about the potentially distressing content it contains, as stated by the organizers, “This film does contain images of dead or dying animals that may be distressing for young or sensitive viewers. Age recommendation: 10+.”
Furthermore, the organizers have made arrangements to accommodate families with young children by providing childcare for ages 3-10 at select locations. One of the locations, Pullen Arts Center, will not only screen the documentary but also host the “Capture it!
