The fourth and final season of the science fiction series “Upload” is now available to stream on Prime Video. The show, set in a future where technologies such as holographic phones, self-driving vehicles, AI assistance, and 3D printers are commonplace, explores a world where people can be uploaded to a virtual-reality afterlife—if they can afford it.
Prime Video subscribers can watch all four episodes of the finale. Access to Prime Video is included with an Amazon Prime membership, which costs $14.99 per month or $139 per year. In addition to streaming content, Amazon Prime members receive benefits like free shipping and exclusive discounts. There are also discounted membership options: young adults aged 18–24 and college students can use Prime for Young Adults with a six-month trial followed by reduced monthly or annual fees. Qualifying government-assistance recipients may try Prime Access for 30 days before paying a lower monthly rate.
The plot of the final season centers on sentient AI turning against humanity, threatening both the digital afterlife known as Lakeview and the real world. Characters face new challenges from dangerous executives, unresolved mysteries, and emotional struggles in both virtual reality and real life.
“Upload” was created by Greg Daniels, who has received an Emmy Award and is known for his work on “The Office,” “Parks and Recreation,” and “King of the Hill.” The main cast includes Robbie Amell as Nathan, Andy Allo as Nora, Kevin Bigley as Luke, Allegra Edwards as Ingrid, Zainab Johnson as Aleesha, and Owen Daniels as A.I. Guy. Additional cast members in this season are Andrea Rosen as Lucy Slack, Anja Savcic as A.I. Girl, and Josh Banday as Ivan Spelich.
According to Amazon’s August programming update at https://www.amazon.com/primevideo/newonprime/, other new films, series premieres, sports events, and episodes are also debuting on the platform this month.
“Upload” is among several new titles joining Prime Video’s lineup this August.
