The Conjuring film series, which began in 2013, has become the highest-grossing horror franchise worldwide. The movies center on real-life paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren as they deal with supernatural events and haunted objects.
Prime Video currently offers access to seven main films from The Conjuring universe. Viewers can either rent or purchase these titles individually or watch them with an HBO Max add-on subscription. The original film, “The Conjuring” (2013), introduces the Warrens as they help a Rhode Island family facing a dark presence. This movie established the franchise’s approach by blending elements of true crime and supernatural horror.
Other available titles include “Annabelle” (2014), which explores the origins of the infamous possessed doll; “The Conjuring 2” (2016), where the Warrens investigate disturbances in London; and “Annabelle: Creation” (2017), set in 1955, depicting how Annabelle was made after a tragedy struck a dollmaker’s family.
“The Nun” (2018) delves into the backstory of Valak, a demonic entity introduced earlier in the series. It became the most commercially successful entry in the franchise. Additional films such as “Annabelle Comes Home” (2019) and “The Curse of La Llorona” (2019) are also available, though producers note that “La Llorona” is not officially part of The Conjuring timeline but does feature crossover characters.
The latest installment, “The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It” (2021), covers a court case involving claims of demonic possession. Also available is “The Nun II” (2023), which follows Sister Irene’s confrontation with Valak in France.
Prime Video subscribers have access to more than just The Conjuring series. The platform includes a wide range of horror content, including Amazon Originals like Them and Truth Seekers, as well as other franchises such as Final Destination and Halloween. New releases like Sinners are also featured among thousands of movies, shows, documentaries, and live sports available for streaming with a standard membership.
