Eric Tulsky, General Manager of the Carolina Hurricanes, has announced that forward Tyson Jost has signed a one-year, two-way contract with the team. The agreement will see Jost earn $775,000 at the NHL level or $300,000 in the AHL, with a minimum guarantee of $600,000.
“Tyson was able to contribute to our organization in a number of different ways last year, and we’re happy to keep him here,” said Tulsky. “He’s extremely well-liked and hard-working and capable of playing a number of different roles in the lineup.”
Jost played 39 regular-season games for the Hurricanes during the 2024-25 season, scoring nine points. He also participated in 14 AHL games with Chicago, where he recorded nine points. Drafted by the Avalanche as the 10th overall pick in 2016, Jost has accumulated 149 points over his NHL career with Colorado, Minnesota, Buffalo, and Carolina. In addition to his NHL experience, he has scored 30 points in his AHL career across various teams.
Before joining professional ranks, Jost played college hockey at North Dakota where he achieved 35 points in one season. The St. Albert native has also represented Canada internationally at several IIHF World Championships.
