Congressman Brad Knott, a vocal figure in the debate over immigration policy, recently shared his views on the matter through a series of tweets. The tweets reflect his stance against amnesty for illegal immigrants and propose measures to address immigration issues.

In a tweet dated July 8, 2025, Congressman Knott stated “There has been a lot of talk lately about amnesty for illegal aliens. That is a nonstarter which would only incentivize more illegal immigration.” This comment highlights his opposition to any form of amnesty as he believes it could lead to an increase in illegal immigration.

On the same day, Congressman Knott outlined what he considers an effective approach to fixing immigration issues. He proposed several steps: “1. Secure the border. 2. Finish the wall. 3. Enabled efficient deportations. 4. Amend the law to facilitate efficient convictions and harsh penalties to DETER current AND future criminal activity from illegal aliens.” His plan emphasizes border security and legal reforms aimed at deterring unlawful entry and activities.

Additionally, Congressman Knott drew upon his professional experience in another tweet on July 8, 2025, where he noted “I spent most of my career investigating, prosecuting, and convicting illegal aliens who came to the United States to commit heinously vile crimes.” He emphasized his understanding of the issue by stating that there are “unknown millions of people here, in our home, illegally.”

The congressman’s comments come amidst ongoing national discussions about immigration policies and their implications for security and law enforcement.
