A juvenile from the Cabarrus Juvenile Detention Center escaped custody during a medical appointment, according to the Division of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention. The incident occurred at approximately 10:30 a.m. on June 25 at 13557 Steelecroft Parkway in Charlotte.

The escapee has been identified as Alberto P. Local law enforcement has been notified, and the division is cooperating with the ongoing investigation.

Authorities have released the most recent photograph of Alberto P., urging members of the public to report any sightings to local law enforcement officials.
