The City of Raleigh has announced a temporary closure of two travel lanes and street parking on the 100 and 200 blocks of East Edenton Street. The closure, part of a capital improvement project, will occur between North Wilmington Street and North Person Street. It is scheduled to take place daily from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., starting Monday, July 21, 2025, through Friday, August 29, 2025.

The city assured that “surrounding water and sewer services should not be interrupted.” One lane will remain open for westbound traffic while parking restrictions will be enforced in designated areas.

Drivers are advised to expect possible delays and consider alternative routes during this period. Signs, cones, and crews will be present to direct traffic. There will be no service disruptions for nearby homes and businesses.

The city expressed gratitude for residents’ patience as improvements are made to Raleigh’s infrastructure.
