Lowe’s has announced its 2025 Lowe’s Hometowns projects, which include 100 community-nominated, large-scale renovations aimed at revitalizing nonprofit and community spaces. This initiative is part of Lowe’s five-year, $100 million commitment to repair and restore millions of square feet of community space.
“At Lowe’s, we believe we have a fundamental responsibility to improve the places we all call home,” said Marvin Ellison, Lowe’s chairman and CEO. “Lowe’s Hometowns is a true demonstration of how Lowe’s red vest associates across the country show up and help. Working alongside nonprofit partners, each project delivers real, life-changing impact to the communities we serve.”
The projects will address various critical needs such as veteran services, food and housing insecurity, and community beautification. Earlier this year, Lowe’s promised to deliver 10 million square feet of impact through initiatives like Lowe’s Hometowns. The projects will expand kitchen capacity for food pantries, restore transitional housing facilities, revitalize parks and gardens, and build spaces for first responders.
Additionally, over 1,700 associate-selected community improvement projects will be tackled by Lowe’s volunteers across the country. According to Points of Light president and CEO Jennifer Sirangelo, “Lowe’s Hometowns exemplifies how strong partnerships between companies and civic organizations can create meaningful, lasting change in communities.”
