The Five Points Center for Active Adults is offering a Microsoft Excel training program, beginning on September 9 and concluding on December 4. The course will run from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays. It is designed to help participants gain proficiency in Excel, which is widely used for data analysis, organization, calculation, and visualization across various industries.

This three-month, instructor-led program aims to prepare students for the optional Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS): Excel Associate Certification exam. Participants need only basic knowledge of using a Windows computer to enroll in the course.

Throughout the program, students will learn how to manage worksheets and workbooks, handle cell and data ranges, as well as tables and table data. The curriculum includes performing operations with formulas and functions and summarizing data visually by creating charts and sparklines. Additionally, it covers modifying and formatting these visual elements to prepare workbooks for collaboration and distribution.

Upon completing the course, attendees will be ready to take the Microsoft Excel Associate certification exam; however, this exam is not included in the course fee.

The cost of enrollment is $610 for residents and $625 for non-residents. Individuals aged 18 and older are eligible to register when registration opens on July 22.
