The state will hold a virtual meeting on July 25, 2025, to discuss HUD (CDBG-MIT) funding. The public is invited to attend the session, which will take place from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
This meeting is organized by the Citizen Advisory Committee, a group established by the N.C. Office of Recovery and Resiliency (NCORR). The committee aims to enhance transparency in using CDBG-MIT funds and gather public input on proposed mitigation activities. It also serves as a forum for informing CDBG-MIT projects and programs. The committee consists of 15 members representing areas in North Carolina that were significantly affected by hurricanes Matthew and Florence, along with individuals possessing relevant technical and industry expertise.
NCORR, a division of the N.C. Department of Public Safety, administers programs supporting long-term disaster recovery, community development, and affordable housing.
