The North Carolina Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services (NCDA&CS) has introduced a new video series aimed at helping agritourism businesses in the state enhance their operations and guest experiences.

The four-part series covers topics such as marketing strategies, strategic planning, using artificial intelligence for farm marketing, and preparing destinations for visitors. Erica Calderon, agritourism marketing specialist at NCDA&CS, said, “Agritourism activities introduce people to North Carolina’s rich agricultural traditions while offering fun on-farm activities that contribute to the success of these family farms. This series provides agritourism operations with tools and strategies that will help them connect with potential visitors.”

This initiative is part of Visit NC Farms, a statewide program designed to link residents and tourists with local farms, fisheries, farmers markets, u-pick opportunities, farm stays, tours, trails, and special agricultural events. The videos are available online through the Industry Resources section of Visit NC Farms and can be accessed free of charge.

NCDA&CS encourages those involved in agritourism or interested in promoting it to view and share the video series. The Visit NC Farms program is a partnership between the N.C. Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, local tourism leaders, and farm businesses. Its goal is to strengthen ties between consumers and food producers across North Carolina by providing information about farm-fresh foods, markets, u-pick fields, wineries, events, and more through its website at www.visitncfarms.com.
