The Sertoma Arts Center is set to unveil a new summer exhibition that will run from June 29 through August 27, 2025. This exhibition features three distinct showcases that delve into themes of memory, architecture, identity, and transformation.

Cheryl McCardle’s “Transcendent Expressions” will be displayed in the Raleigh Room. Her work focuses on the beauty and evolution of time through layered paintings using oil and cold wax. These pieces aim to connect past and present by presenting surfaces that reflect both natural and manmade transformations.

In the Hall Gallery, Kenneth Eugene Peters’ “STRUCTURE & LIGHT: Architectural Paintings” highlights disappearing buildings with acrylic paintings rooted in his personal history and fascination with architecture. His art captures light, shadow, and stories found within architectural forms.

Alexandra Zuckerman’s work in the Lobby Gallery celebrates routine, intimacy, and queer identity through detailed hand-drawn printmaking. Her art encourages viewers to appreciate everyday life from a personal perspective.

Additionally, students of Steve Karloski and Dr. Tim Cherry will showcase their works in a Handbuilding Showcase in the Lobby Gallery. This display emphasizes the diversity of forms achievable through a single medium and technique.

The exhibition is open to the public at no cost at Sertoma Arts Center located at 1400 Millbrook Road, Raleigh, NC 27612. Visitors are also invited to meet the artists on August 23.
