The North Carolina Solar for All Community Advisory Board, also known as EnergizeNC, is scheduled to hold a virtual meeting on June 24, 2025, at 12 p.m. The public can join the meeting via Webex, with details and supporting documents accessible on the board’s webpage.

The advisory board plays a role in shaping program aspects such as workforce development, consumer protection, outreach and communication, financial incentive design, and program eligibility.

In April 2024, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency awarded $156 million to EnergizeNC. This funding aims to enhance access to residential and community solar energy in low-income and disadvantaged communities within North Carolina. The coalition leading this initiative includes the North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality’s State Energy Office in partnership with the NC Clean Energy Technology Center, the NC Clean Energy Fund, and Advanced Energy.

EnergizeNC seeks to reduce energy costs for residents, create jobs, and provide reliable energy access across North Carolina. Following its planning phase, services are expected to begin by late 2025. These services aim to expand solar energy use statewide while benefiting low-income and rural areas significantly.
