Spend time on the water kayaking and paddleboarding at Lake Johnson. This event is open to adults of all skill levels and includes safety instruction, hands-on training, skills improvement, and all equipment provided. Participants are encouraged to bring their adventurous spirit for a fun-filled day outdoors.

The event will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., with advance registration required for specific time slots for kayaking and paddleboarding. Parking is available at the Thomas G. Crowder Woodland Center, with shuttle service running throughout the event. Attendees can also enjoy a walk along the scenic trails connecting the center to the lake.

The event will be held at Lake Johnson Park on Friday, August 22, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., targeting ages 18 and up, particularly older adults. The cost is free; however, pre-registration is necessary through RecLink or in person at any Raleigh Parks facility.
