Prime Video has expanded its streaming offerings by adding Peacock Premium Plus, NBCUniversal’s ad-free service, to its platform. The move allows Prime Video customers to access a range of on-demand entertainment, news, and sports content without leaving the Prime Video app.
Peacock Premium Plus offers thousands of hours of programming and includes features such as the ability to download select titles for offline viewing and access to live, local NBC channels. The subscription is available for $16.99 per month or $169.99 per year through Prime Video.
“Prime members can subscribe to Peacock Premium Plus directly through Prime Video without needing to download a separate app. It joins Prime Video’s collection of more than 100 subscription options in the U.S., all accessible with one billing relationship in one convenient application,” according to the announcement.
The launch comes as part of a broader set of agreements between Amazon and Comcast NBCUniversal.
Prime Video users can also buy or rent new releases such as “F1: The Movie,” starring Brad Pitt, and “Superman,” directed by James Gunn, directly from the platform.
