Residents and visitors in Raleigh will have the opportunity to join guided walking tours of the city’s historic Third Ward neighborhood this autumn. The tours, which highlight the area near Shaw University, focus on its role as a center for Black culture, business, and education.

The Pope House Museum will serve as the starting point for these tours. Scheduled dates run from September 20 through December 21, with sessions offered on Saturdays at 10 a.m., 1 p.m., and 3 p.m., and Sundays at 2 p.m. Organizers note that registration is required for participation.

Tickets are priced at $10 for adults and $5 for children ages five to seventeen. All age groups are welcome to attend. Registration can be completed through RecLink.
