The Raleigh Convention Center and the Martin Marietta Center for the Performing Arts have both been recognized as 2025 Venues of Excellence by the International Association of Venue Managers. The award is given each year to five venues, with recipients chosen by industry leaders.

According to the association, venues are evaluated on operational excellence, safety and security, team building and professional development, as well as service to the community. This marks the first occasion that two venues from a single city have received this distinction in the same year.

“Recipients excelled in several categories, including: operational excellence; safety and security; team building and professional development; and, service to the community.”

This recognition highlights Raleigh’s growing presence in venue management at a national level.
