The annual Summer Concert Series is underway, hosted by Pullen Park and Fred Fletcher Park in Raleigh. Local artists are offering free performances on select Sundays until September 21. The series features various genres to provide an enjoyable evening for attendees at these two venues.

Pullen Park will host the Raleigh Concert Band on June 22 and Eat a Peach on July 20. Meanwhile, Fred Fletcher Park’s lineup includes the Triangle Sax Ensemble on June 29, Thelonious on July 13, Capital Transit on August 3, Holly Springs Community Band on August 10, Carpe Diem Sax Quartet on August 17, SWAG on September 7, Blue Notes on September 14, and Tune Swingers closing the series on September 21.

Concerts are scheduled for Sunday evenings. From now until August 10, they begin at 6 p.m., and from August 17 to September 21, they start at 5 p.m. All ages are welcome to attend these free events.

Attendees are encouraged to bring their own blankets or chairs as seating is not provided. While performers may change without notice, tips for artists are welcomed. At Pullen Park, food can be purchased at the cafe; however, guests should bring their own food and beverages to Fletcher Park.

The concert series may be canceled due to bad weather conditions. For updates regarding cancellations or changes in schedule, individuals can contact the City of Raleigh at 919-996-6468.
