The Raleigh Market at the State Fairgrounds will reopen on Saturday, November 8, following a month-long closure for the North Carolina State Fair. The market operates from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays, except during October when the fair takes place.

Indoor shops located in the Commercial and Education Buildings will remain closed due to ongoing roof repairs, with reopening expected in late spring. Some indoor vendors are moving outside or into storage pods while construction is underway. Kidds Frames will be temporarily relocated to the south lobby of Dorton Arena. Outdoor vendor spaces will not be affected by the construction.

According to market organizers, “The Raleigh Market is one of the largest flea markets in the Southeast, offering everything from antiques to handicrafts, furniture and homemade goods.” Parking remains free for visitors. More details about the market can be found at www.theraleighmarket.com.

This weekend also features several events at the state fairgrounds: The 36th Annual Capital Area Handbell Festival takes place in the Scott Building on Friday and Saturday; the Neuse River Valley MRRC Train Show occurs in the Graham Building on both days; and the Magnificent Mums exhibit is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday in the Martin Building. Additional information about these events and others at the fairgrounds is available at www.ncagr.gov/divisions/ncstatefair/events.
