Raleigh offers holiday Myrtle Beach trip for older adults

Residents of Raleigh are invited to join a holiday-themed trip to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, organized by the Anne Gordon Active Adult Center. The three-day, two-night excursion is scheduled from Thursday, December 4 to Saturday, December 6.

The trip begins with departure from the Anne Gordon Center by motorcoach. Participants will have dinner at The Original Benjamin’s Calabash Seafood Buffet and attend the Holiday Spectacular Legends in Concert show. Lodging is provided at the Dayton House Resort on the beach.

On Friday, guests will have breakfast at the resort’s Rose Room before shopping at Barefoot Landing. There is free time in the afternoon for relaxation or walking on the beach. Dinner that evening will be served at Bubba’s Fish Camp and Smokehouse, followed by a Motown music show featuring hits from the 1960s and 1970s.

Saturday includes breakfast and leisure time before checking out of the resort. The return trip to Raleigh features a stop for shopping and lunch at Broadway at the Beach.

The event is open to older adults and costs $425 per person for double occupancy for residents ($440 for non-residents) or $516 for single occupancy for residents ($531 for non-residents).
