Raleigh Parks has introduced a new initiative, the “Rec’d Out” Mobile Recreation Unit (MRU), aimed at bringing recreational activities directly to various communities within the city. The MRU is designed as a mobile entertainment center featuring both high-tech video gaming stations and traditional outdoor games.

The unit is intended to serve as an inclusive space where residents can engage in esports, participate in classic games, or simply enjoy leisure time with friends and family. Raleigh Parks encourages residents to look for the Rec’d Out MRU at local parks, schools, and community events.

For those interested in experiencing the MRU firsthand, it will make its debut appearance at the Teen Egg Hunt event scheduled for Thursday, March 20 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Lions Park on Dennis Avenue. Residents are encouraged to follow @RaleighParks on social media and visit the Teen Programs website for updates on future events and locations.
