The City of Raleigh will host a Transportation Job Fair on September 12 and 13 at the Central Operations Facility, located at 2550 Operations Way in Raleigh. The event will run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day.

Attendees will have the chance to learn about 22 full-time positions available within the city’s transportation sector, including roles such as Transportation Worker, Equipment Operator I, Heavy Equipment Operator II, and Heavy Equipment Operator III. Temporary positions for seasonal leaf collection are also open. Candidates interested in equipment operator roles are required to have a Class A CDL or be able to obtain one according to city guidelines.

City staff and hiring managers will be present to answer questions, assist with applications in an on-site computer lab, and conduct same-day interviews.

“From entry-level roles to skilled equipment operators, the Transportation Job Fair offers a variety of career paths that keep our city moving. Whether you’re just starting out or ready to advance, there’s a place for you on our team,” according to the City of Raleigh. “Meet directly with hiring managers and staff who can answer your questions.” The city highlights that these positions play an important role in supporting local infrastructure and community growth.
