Raleigh Water Industry Day 2025 saw another successful gathering of industry professionals this June. The event aimed to educate attendees on wastewater management, drawing both new and familiar participants. Raleigh Water Director Whit Wheeler commenced the day with a welcoming address.

Attendance increased this year, with many professionals eager to enhance their knowledge. Participants shared a sense of camaraderie, engaging in discussions to improve water quality in their communities.

Presentations covered various topics such as wastewater overviews, city monitoring requirements, stormwater inspections, root cause analysis, pretreatment updates, and bioenergy programs.

The event also celebrated professionals who maintained perfect compliance with their permits last year. The Environmental Stewardship Award Certificates were presented to:

– GlaxoSmithKline
– Indivior Manufacturing LLC
– Mallinckrodt
– Precision Machine Fabrication, Inc.
– Liebel-Flarsheim Company, LLC
– SMT Inc.
– Triangle Coatings Inc.

The event concluded successfully with plans already underway for next year’s gathering. A reminder highlighted the significance of the Neuse River Resource Recovery Facility as North Carolina’s largest wastewater treatment plant.
