The Raleigh Youth Council (RYC) has opened its membership for the 2025-2026 school year. The council provides a platform for high school students in Wake County to express their ideas and opinions, as well as advocate for teen interests.
The RYC offers participants the chance to engage in civic activities, take on leadership roles, complete community service, and attend events such as the Youth Legislative Assembly and State Youth Council Conferences.
Meetings are scheduled on the second and fourth Monday of each month at the Kiwanis Neighborhood Center, located at 2525 Noble Rd., Raleigh, NC 27608. Sessions run from 7 to 8 p.m. Membership is open to all high school students at no cost.
Students interested in developing leadership skills, meeting peers, earning volunteer hours required by schools, or making a difference in their community are encouraged to join the council’s upcoming meetings.
