Red Hat has announced the winners of its APAC Innovation Awards 2025 for India, highlighting organizations that have adopted open source technologies to drive digital transformation and innovation. The companies recognized include Indian Bank, Tata Teleservices Limited (TTSL), Unity Small Finance Bank, and State Bank of India (SBI).
The awards celebrate organizations that have used Red Hat’s solutions to improve business outcomes and deliver value in their sectors. According to Marjet Andriesse, senior vice president and general manager, APJC at Red Hat, “The pace of change in Asia Pacific shows no signs of slowing, especially as AI becomes a core driver of business transformation. Despite these demands, our customers have delivered remarkable results, showing that innovation thrives when paired with open source. The Red Hat APAC Innovation Awards 2025 are an opportune time to recognise and celebrate these achievements, highlighting how our customers are unlocking what’s next and shaping a future defined by creativity, resilience, and impact.”
Indian Bank was recognized in the Cloud Native Development category for modernizing its legacy systems using Red Hat OpenShift Platform Plus. This move enabled Indian Bank to create India’s first private cloud infrastructure by a public sector bank and improved the development process for digital banking services.

Tata Teleservices Limited received recognition in Digital Transformation and Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure for adopting an open hybrid cloud approach powered by Red Hat’s enterprise solutions. Unity Small Finance Bank was awarded under Digital Transformation for building a flexible customer relationship management platform on Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform. Yusuf Roopwala, Chief Information Officer at Unity Small Finance Bank stated: “Our goal has always been to make banking simple, inclusive, and accessible to our customers in every corner of India. State Bank of India was recognized for both Digital Transformation and Cloud Native Development through its use of several Red Hat platforms such as OpenShift and Ansible Automation Platform. These tools allowed SBI to unify its digital channels on scalable architecture while enhancing security.

These awards are part of an initiative recognizing 30 winners across Asia Pacific who are leveraging open source technologies from Red Hat.
