Raleigh Transportation will hold Ride Raleigh: Dockless Demo Day on Monday, August 25, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Dix Park near Gipson Play Plaza. The event is free and open to the public.

Attendees can try out e-bikes from Lime and Spin in a hands-on setting. Company representatives will be present to explain how their bikes work, discuss rider pass options, assist with account setup, and answer questions about using the bikes safely.

The event also features participation from GoRaleigh Transit and Commute Smart Raleigh, who will provide information about how e-bikes fit into the city’s transportation system.

“This isn’t a ‘learn to ride a bike’ class, but it’s the perfect low-pressure way to try out e-bikes for the first time — or just get familiar with Lime and Spin before you rent one on your own. You’ll leave ready to ride with confidence.”

Giveaways are planned by both vendors for early attendees. The demo day takes place next to Gipson Play Plaza, where Yoga in the Park will also be happening.

The event aims to introduce residents to Raleigh’s new bikeshare program and promote micromobility options in the city.
