CITY OF RALEIGH: Here are a few highlights from the October 4 City Council meetings!

City of Raleigh issued the following announcement on Oct. 2.

Here are a few highlights from the October 4 City Council meetings! 

 Council approved $2,813,635 in ARPA funds to make capital improvements to the Studios at 2800, an extended-stay hotel we purchased in 2021 to preserve affordable housing & dedicate a portion of units as permanent supportive housing: https://bit.ly/3C4pe8x. 

 Council authorized changes in the Traffic Schedule (speed limit reductions) for Canterbury Road, Carson Street, Fayetteville Street, Pershing Road, Sunrise Avenue, Valley Run Drive, and Weaver Drive: https://bit.ly/3CwzMi8

 Council authorized changes in the Traffic Schedule to establish a Bus Zone on the east side of the 600 block of Person St due to ongoing concerns about the safety of transit riders accessing GoRaleigh buses at this location: https://bit.ly/3SW0juu.
