There are thousands of employees that keep the City running each day. Our video series, “This is What I Do,” highlights some of the unsung heroes who often work behind the scenes in critical functions to serve our community.
Our most recent episode introduces Senior GIS Analyst, Mary Smith, of our Information Technology Department. Mary loves her job because she gets to be a programmer one day, a map maker the next, and a web developer later that week. Her typical day includes wrangling data and test driving new technology. She works behind-the-scenes and impacts many aspects of City governance.
