Pullen Arts Center has announced it will be a site for The Community Journaling Project. The initiative invites everyone to participate and encourages sharing the opportunity with creative friends.

The Community Journaling Project is an ongoing, interactive bookmaking initiative led by artist Jennifer Sandry of Ink and Axe. It aims to demonstrate that art is accessible to all.

Participants can pick up pages from partner sites or use their own materials within specified sizes. Completed pages should be returned to dropboxes at either Pullen Arts Center or the NC Museum of Art Museum Store. Artists will collect these pages, fold them in half, combine them with others, and bind them using a long Coptic stitch.

Jennifer Sandry shared her thoughts on the project: "Art is about the process and the meaning for the individual. This project will show how wonderful every mind is and to hopefully inspire one another."
