The City of Raleigh Museum is set to host an event focusing on the history, current issues, and future of Indigenous culture in North Carolina. The symposium will take place on Saturday, November 9, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., and is open to all ages at no cost.

Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from several speakers. Marvin Tupper Jones will present "First People of the Chowan," Dr. Crystal Cavalier will discuss "Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women in North Carolina," and Lyric Locklear will talk about "Holistic Medicine and Culture Revitalization."

While parking in downtown Raleigh is free on weekends, it may be challenging to find a spot, so attendees are advised to plan accordingly.
