Raleigh Parks has released a new video featuring local children discussing their appreciation for parks. The video, titled "Why Parks Matter," includes unscripted responses from kids who frequent Raleigh's parks. It highlights the various ways in which these spaces contribute to their lives, such as making friends and improving sports skills.
In the video, one child shares an experience of finding a caterpillar, while another mentions how tennis camps have helped boost their confidence and skills. For many children, parks are places to be active, connect with others, and find happiness.
“It helps me enjoy nature,” says one child. Another adds, “If I don’t come to the parks, I would just be laying at home.”
The video emphasizes the significance of parks as venues for families to gather, explore nature, and promote healthy lifestyles for children. The full video is available on Raleigh Parks' social media channels.
